I found this article interesting for the simple fact that it hit hard next to home. Let me explain further. Explaining PTSD (Post Traumatic Disorder) to someone who has no clue what it is, goes something like this...one of your fondest memories from childhood, and every now and then, it just pops into your head? And it feels good or smells good; something may trigger a happy thought for you, right? Now imagine, if you will, an individual with PTSD that recurring memory is actually a nightmare from the past that never goes away.
The methods of this study included 361 veterans who were all diagnosed with PTSD. The results were a high number of veterans who experienced less anxiety, stress and worry and overall achieved a higher level of calmness.
